Elliot's first swim

First swim and first time in the cold water of Canberra. Elliot tolerated the experience. He has since had a much better time in the warmer waters of Enmore's indoor pool.

Visit with the Buchanans

We had a wonderful visit with a dear old friend Christine and her little Emma and Holly. Holly is 5 weeks older than Elliot and she rolled over for the first time while we were there.

Maroubra Beach

These photos don't really reflect Elliot's mood at the beach which could best be described as 'grumpy'. At least he won't grow up to be a Bra Boy.

Elliot really surprised us with a fantastic display of attention, hand-eye coordination and fine motor control grabbing repeatedly at fingers. Seems like a big jump from random bashing of the Captain [Calamari for those new to this story].

Visit from Grandad

Grandad visited us this week and saw Elliot for the first time in over a month. He was very impressed with how much Elliot has grown and Elliot rewarded him with lots of smiles.

 

Bushwalk with Ama and Dan

Ama and Dan visited for the weekend. We all went to Lake Paramatta and Elliot experienced an exciting 4 kilometre bushwalk, including an unexpected fast flowing creek crossing. Mum and Dad also enjoyed their first meal out in the city while Ama and Dan babysat.

This week we went to our last official Mum's Group at the Marrickville Child and Family Health Service. We have really enjoyed meeting the other mums and babies and we are planning to continue meeting up.
