New tricks

Elliot seems to be developing at a crazy pace at the moment, doing and saying amazing new things all the time. Well, they are amazing to us.
The other day our friends Dallas and Jo were visiting with 9 month old baby Maya. Maya was lying on the ground and rolling around and getting lots of attention from all the adults. So Elliot goes over and lies down on the floor next to her and rolls over and then looks up at us as if to say, look, I can do it too.
Tonight at the dinner table Elliot was goofing around by ducking his head down (who knows why). We started laughing at him and then he laughed and kept doing it, clearly trying to make us laugh.
We just enjoyed a visit from Grandpa Ken whom Elliot christened "Oompa" and he asked for Oompa first thing in the morning when he woke up.
He now takes a strong liking to new objects. We bought him a new umbrella and a backpack and he was very pleased with them both.
He can follow simple instructions like "go down to your room and get a book".
Today I said time to wash your hands and he headed straight for the bathroom.
The other day there was some water on the slide at the park - Elliot felt it and said "wet" and today the oven was on and Elliot touched it and said "hot".
He can say up and down, warm and cold, poo and wee, walk and park. He can recognise and say ball, moon, car, truck, train, bowl, baby, and Bree.

He is not a baby anymore!
