Dad picked him up and we went off to the GP who advised RPA ED. There is a pediatric ED with lots of toys and Elliot had a great time in the waiting room with another head-injured kid who had fallen down some stairs. Elliot was incredibly brave while the doctor literally glued his scalp back together. He sat very still and didn't let out much more than a little squeak.
He is as happy as ever today and the wound is looking pretty good.
Quick travel tip- not for the squeamish- the doctor informed me that he had actually used off-the-shelf superglue to treat a laceration on his own foot while holidaying in South East Asia. It stings apparently.
