We all had a great time at Louise's 30th birthday party. Elliot partied hard running around with the guests, although he made sure mum and dad were near by. At first many attempts were made to take off the skirt but the attention it garnered soon changed that.

Elliot really likes playing out the front, pretending to water the pot plants and making a royal muddy mess. When its time to go inside he gets very upset and protests heartily.

Elliot enjoys New Shanghai for lunch

Today we went to New Shanghai in Ashfield for lunch. An old classic which has recently gone slightly more upmarket with exposed brick walls, a lick of "Chinese-style" stencilling and a slight increase in pricing. Reassuringly the dumplings remain excellent and the service remains surly.

Elliot had a great time with his chop sticks although rejected all dumplings and seaweed salad for a Vegemite and cheese bun.
